San Lazzaro di Savena (Bologna), 30 June 2026 – The 13th European Deaf Bowling Championships officially came to life yesterday as all participating national delegations arrived in San Lazzaro di Savena.
Throughout the day, athletes, coaches, officials, and team staff completed their accreditation procedures before taking to the lanes for the official practice session. The training day provided every federation with the opportunity to become familiar with the bowling centre, study the lane conditions, test equipment, and make the final technical adjustments ahead of the start of the competition.
Beyond the sporting preparations, the day also represented an important opportunity for athletes and delegations to meet, reconnect with friends from across Europe, and experience the welcoming atmosphere that has always characterised the European Deaf Bowling Championships.
The bowling centre was filled with excitement as players from every participating nation shared the lanes for the first time, marking the beginning of two weeks of high-level international competition.
With the official practice now complete, everything is ready for the opening of the championships. San Lazzaro di Savena is prepared to welcome Europe’s best deaf bowlers for an event that promises outstanding performances, friendship, and the true spirit of international sport.
